1. Who we are
CELPIP Mock Test is an independent speaking-practice app operated by Leask. This policy covers the app, its supporting services, and this public website, including development and test versions. Contact us at i@leaskh.com for privacy questions.
We are not the official CELPIP test provider. Our practice results are not official exam scores or language certifications.
2. Information we handle
- Account information: an Apple sign-in identifier, our internal user identifier, display name if provided, language preference, and authentication/session records. Older test accounts may also have an email address and a protected password hash. We do not receive your Apple account password.
- Practice information: recordings you submit, a processed audio copy, transcripts, selected questions and choices, timing, AI scores, estimated CLB levels, feedback, and practice history.
- Subscription information: product and transaction identifiers, verified purchase records, entitlement status, and usage counts. Apple handles payment details; we do not receive your full payment card number.
- Service and support information: request times, network addresses, errors, and information you choose to send us. These support authentication, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, and responses to your requests.
3. AI inference, not training
When you submit a response, the app uploads your recording to our servers. Our service uses AI to transcribe and assess it, calculate practice scores and estimated CLB levels, and generate learning feedback. This is not on-device-only processing. Audio, transcripts, question context, and assessment results may be sent to third-party AI services as needed for these functions.
We do not use your recordings, transcripts, or results for subsequent model training. We do not have people listen to your recordings unless you explicitly request a review. If you request one, authorized reviewers may listen to that response and use the related question and results to address your request.
AI-generated sample answers and synthetic voices are learning materials. They are not recordings of other learners. Your voice is not used to create the sample-answer voices.
4. Services involved
We use service providers to operate the app, rather than selling your recordings or using them for advertising. The main categories are:
- Apple: sign-in, App Store purchases, subscription verification, and related account notifications.
- AI services: OpenRouter and model services from Google and OpenAI for transcription, scoring, and feedback. The model or processing route may change as the service develops.
- Hosting, databases, and object storage: storing account records, results, and media, and delivering them to the app.
- GitHub and email: hosting this public site, receiving voluntary issue reports, and responding to support requests.
Providers may process data in countries other than your own. Their applicable service terms and privacy practices also govern their processing. We do not promise that all processing occurs in one country or that every provider has identical retention rules.

5. Storage and retention
We retain account and practice history to let you return to your recordings, results, and progress. Practice data does not have an automatic expiry merely because a session has ended or a subscription has expired. You can request deletion as described below.
Submitted learner recordings are kept in private object storage. Time-limited access links allow playback. Treat these links as private: anyone who receives a valid link may be able to use it until it expires.
The app also stores a session and may cache media or a pending upload on your device. Signing out clears local cached media; a pending recording may be kept so it can be recovered when you sign back in. Signing out or uninstalling does not delete your server account.
Account deletion removes account-linked practice records and queues deletion of stored recordings. Storage failures can delay that cleanup. Limited transaction, security, and deletion-audit records may remain for verification, fraud prevention, and handling disputes or legal obligations. Copies in service-provider systems or backups, where present, follow the applicable retention process rather than disappearing instantly.
We use access controls and protected transport for the released service, but no storage or transmission system can be guaranteed risk-free. Please avoid including sensitive personal information in practice answers.
6. Your choices and requests
You can deny microphone permission, stop practising, or choose not to submit a recording. Recording and AI scoring cannot work without the relevant microphone access and data processing. You can manage microphone access in your device Settings.
Use Account > Delete account in the app to request account deletion. If you cannot sign in, email i@leaskh.com. We may need to verify ownership before acting. You can also contact us about access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. See the account deletion guide.
Deleting an account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Manage subscriptions separately in your Apple account settings.
The app is intended for language-test preparation, not as a children's service. If you believe a child has submitted personal data without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can address it.
7. This public website and GitHub Issues
This is a static information site. It does not ask for an app login, accept recordings, or include advertising trackers or analytics scripts. GitHub Pages and network providers may process normal request information, such as IP addresses and browser details, to deliver and protect the site.
Issue searches open GitHub, and issue reports are public. Do not include recordings, transcripts, account IDs, credentials, private links, or payment details in an issue. Use email for private support instead.
8. Changes and contact
We will update this page when the policy changes and revise the date above. Material changes to how personal data is used will be explained before they apply, with consent requested where required.
